I enjoy the challenges and rewards of being a business lawyer, especially with startups, growth-phase companies and entrepreneurs. Being a lawyer is only half the equation (not the half people usually like). The other half is being an active member of the business team.

My background includes strategic planning, contract negotiations and administration, corporate transactions, employment law, corporate governance and wide range of other legal and business matters.

As General Counsel, I’m always focused on the company’s compliance with the law (statutes, regulations, internal policies, industry best practices, etc). To do that, and to add valuable insights and relevant experiences, I am also included in planning and decision making processes and viewed as a partner in the success of the business.

I have spent two decades practicing law, with most of that time as General Counsel advising and collaborating with my clients on a vast number of issues. I have helped take startups through successful growth and exit phases, adding value by minimizing risk while contributing to planning and revenue-generating activities. I also have considerable experience with government affairs on behalf of my client and the broader FinTech community.

Chris is the Founder and current CEO of Alchemy Media Group, a direct-to-consumer digital marketing business. He provides leadership and oversees the day-to-day management of the team. Additionally, he enjoys building long-term client and partner relationships.

Chris is a father of 5 children, has been married for 26 years, and holds a high value for his faith and family.

Chris, who has over 17 years of experience building and selling tech-based businesses, successfully sold Avenlo Media Group, Inc., a direct-to-consumer email marketing business (avenlo.com), to Matomy Media Group, Inc. in 2015 at a 10.5X EBIDTA. As one of the three Founders and Chief Operating Officer at Avenlo, he played a crucial role in its success from 2012 to 2016. After the acquisition, Chris continued to serve as the Chief Operating Officer for Avenlo Media Group, which became a division of Matomy Media Group.

Chris is an experienced entrepreneur, investor, and operator with over 25 years of experience. He has served many clients and generated over $2B in revenues for his clients. He has worked in various industries such as digital media, data acquisition technology, food technology, cryptographic technology, precious metals, alternative currency hedge fund, and as a private equity executive.

Chris has also worked with charitable organizations and their executive leadership with his wife Melissa for 20+ years in Colorado, California, and Texas.

Born in Alberta, Canada, Tyler now resides in St. Petersburg, Florida, and has been involved in online advertising since 2006, when he left the engineering field.

Tyler has had tremendous success in this arena, leading various companies to over $100M in revenue, one of which he grew from $4M to over $40M in 4 years just off cashflow and zero outside investment. He has spent over $52M on online ads and consulted for companies from both startups to those valued north of $300M.

Currently, he generates leads for multi-billion dollar public companies and national brands, which has generated $100’s of millions of dollars in sales.

These companies include mortgage companies, auto insurance companies, legal firms, healthcare companies, and many others. When Tyler is not working on his ventures, he enjoys giving back and supporting other entrepreneurs to maximize their potential. Tyler also shares an interest in human performance, both mental and physical, spending his spare time in research and practical application. He values making decisions based on long-term thinking and focuses on building deep-rooted relationships where everyone wins. He believes that there is always an opportunity for everyone to grow when you take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
